Karnataka: CCB nabs 40 bookies, seizes Rs 96 lakh

Bengaluru, Dec 6 (UNI) City Central Branch (CCB) Police have nabbed 40 bookies who had indulged in collecting betting money illegally at Bengaluru Turf Club and seized from them Rs 96 lakh betting money on Friday.
CCB in a release here said that during surprise raid it was also unearthed that the arrested were also evading payment of GST to the government and collecting betting money on Horses illegally.
In all 4 ACP, 20 Police Inspectors and other officials were involved in the raid conducted on the BTC, the sources added.
