Karnataka cabinet expansion in Nov, hints Saleem Ahmed

Haveri, July 14 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Karnataka Legislative Council Chairperson Saleem Ahmed today indicated that the much-anticipated cabinet expansion in Karnataka is likely to take place in November, with some ministers expected to voluntarily vacate their positions to make way for new faces.
"Some ministers may step down and inform the party, enabling others to get opportunities. A meeting between the High Command and the Chief Minister will be held to finalise decisions. During that meeting, arrangements will also be made regarding party workers' conventions and the appointment of a new KPCC President," he said.
Responding to speculation over possible changes in the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) leadership, Ahmed clarified that the High Command has firmly instructed party leaders not to make any public statements on the issue without prior approval.
