Kanpur incident proof of govt's failure: SP

Balrampur, Jul 4 (UNI) Stating that the state government had been unsuccessful on the law and order front following the Kanpur incident, former Minister from Balrampur, Dr SP Yadav carried out a protest along with the Samajwadi Party (SP) workers at the District Magistrate's office and handed over a memorandum addressed to the President to the Additional DM on Saturday.
During the protest at the DM's office, the former Minister Dr SP Yadav said that the incident of eight policemen getting martyred by the bullets of criminals in Kanpur shows that the law and order situation in UP is completely unsuccessful.
He alleged that the history-sheeter criminals have the protection of the government and the ruling party. In such a situation, people are worried about their security. He also demanded a financial aid of Rs 2 crore to the families of the martyred cops and that government jobs be provided to two of their kin.

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Sunday over the rate of novel coronavirus infection declining in the state owing to ceaseless endeavours.
“Earlier; approximately 1,800 fresh cases were being reported daily but that figure has declined to the vicinity of 1,500. However, greater alertness is imperative vis-à-vis Indore and Bhopal districts where containment zones have been demarcated,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying during a review meeting.

4 babies die on single night at govt hosp

Shahdol, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) The District infirmary administration has gone into a tizzy after four infants died at the Special New-born Care Unit on the intervening night of November 26-27.
Civil Surgeon VS Bariya attributed one of the fatalities to pneumonia but denied any negligence on part of the hospital staff.

Jyotiraditya to meet MP CM

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart and Rajya Sabha Member Jyotiraditya Scindia is scheduled to meet Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday during a visit to the state capital.
Sources said that the erstwhile central minister will arrive here from Delhi by air in the morning. Subsequent to the key meeting, the former parliamentarian shall depart for Orchha to attend a programme and then return to the national capital via Gwalior.
