Kannur declared first plastic carry bag and disposable free district in country

Kannur, Apr 2 (UNI) Member of Parliament P K Sreemathi today declared Kannur district as the first district in the country which was free from plastic carry bag and disposable articles.
Port Minister Ramachandran Kadanappally , district level monitoring committee members , Corporation Mayor E P Latha, District Panchayat President K V Sumesh, District Collector Mir Muhammed Ali and District Police Chief G Siva Vikram were present in the declaration function at the Collectorate.
