Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 13 2016 3:39PM Kannur Corpn Deputy Mayor resigns from postKannur, Jun 13 (UNI) The maiden Kannur Corporation's Deputy Mayor C Sameer of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) today dramatically resigned from the post, before considering the no-confidence motion against him by CPI(M) led Left Democratic Front (LDF) at the Council meeting. District Collector P Balakiran today called a council meeting at 1100 hrs, following the notice filed by LDF councilors for no-confidence motion against Deputy Mayor on May 30. But Mr Sameer handed over the resignation letter before the Corporation Secretary V J Kurian around 1040 hrs with the presence of Congress led UDF councilors.
