Kannada & Malayalam Film festivals in Tiruvananthapuram, B'lore

Bengaluru, Aug 8 (UNI) Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy, Department
of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with Kerala
State Chalachitra Academy will organize Malayalam Film Festival in
the City and Kannada Film Festival at Tiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
While the Malayalam Film Festival will be held here at
Chamundeshwari Studios from August 11 -13 wherein 8 films will be
screened.
K J George, Minister for Bengaluru Development will inaugurate
the festival. Nationally acclaimed filmmaker P
Sheshadri will speak on the occasion. Dr.P.S.Harsha, Director,
Department of Information and Public Relations, Sa.Ra.Govindu,
Chairman, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Award winning
Malayalam Film Directors, Dileesh Pothan and Ms Vidhu Vincent,
Malayalam actor Vinay Fort will participate. The programme will be
presided by Rajendra Singh Babu, Chairman, Karnataka Chalanachitra
Academy.
Movies Manhole, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Aaradi, Kismath and
Kammatti Paadam, Godsay, Mohavalayam directed by T.V.Chandran and
Kaadu Pookunna Neram will be screened during the festival.
Kannada Film Festival will be held from August 26-28 and Popular
movies like U-Turn, Thithi, Kirik Party, Harikatha Prasanga,
Maarikondavaru, Naanu avanalla avalu and Rama Rama Re will be
screened.
Karnataka chalanachitra Academy, in an effort to create a unique
opportunity for the exchange of rich cultures of India through the
common platform of cinema, is organizing film Festivals. Mr
H B Dinesh, Registrar, Karnataka chalanachitra Academy noted that
Bengali Film Festival organized in the month of July was a huge
success.
