Kanchi Shankaracharya visits Sri City

Sri City, Feb 18 (UNI) For all ‘Sri Citizens’ it was a blissful Monday evening as His Holiness the Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi gave graceful darshan and bestowed blessings.

On his arrival at Visitors Centre, Sri Shankaracharya was accorded a traditional welcome by Mr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City amidst Vedic chanting.
The Shankaracharya visited Business Centre where he was given a briefing on the origin, development and status of Sri City, job opportunities and the corporate social responsibility activities, a statement here said on Tuesday.

Addressing the devotees at the community hall, the Shankaracharya remarked,”Sri City is very unique reflecting a balanced blend of spirituality and modernity aiming at the prosperity of the region. We are very happy to note that it created livelihood for over 50,000 people, and will provide jobs for many more in future.”

Stating that sincere attempts and hard work always give good result, the Shankaracharya commented, ”As virtuous actions always beget good results, here in Sri City, such actions backed by technology, hard work, and commitment, resulted in prosperity and development, creating ample job opportunities to the people. We pray the almighty to bless these efforts and bestow more and more prosperity in the entire region.”

Mentioning that a country which is righteous, united and peace loving will always prosper, the Swamiji told, ”Our culture teaches us to work hard, be kind to others and live a legitimate life. Unity in diversity is the unique strength of our country.
Different languages and cultures have been coexisting with harmony here since long time. We are known for tolerance. In a way, our joint family system was responsible for developing the traits, such as, compassion, tolerance, adjustment, helping others, etc., in us. Let’s work together to regain the past glory of our country”, he said.
