Kamal turns 63, launches digital App, takes first step on political entry

Kamal turns 63, launches digital App, takes first step on political entry

Chennai, Nov 7 (UNI) Film Actor Kamal Haasan turned 63 today
and he celebrated his birthday by launching an App platform,
marking his first step towards his entry into the Tamil Nadu
politics.
Stopping short of announcing his political party, while
dropping enough hints of his move towards politics, the actor
announced a digital platform #KH 'Maiam Whistle', which would
act as a bridge between him and the people.
Kamal, who had two days back said the launch of the App
would be his first step towards his entry into politics,
also said 'I have arrived (into politics)'.
Addressing a crowded press conference after launching the
digital platform, Kamal said he has already started working
on floating a political party and its name was just a mere
formality.
He also said he would undertake a tour of Tamil Nadu to
reach out to the people of the state and the dates would be
announced later.
In his opening remarks after apologising to the media for
coming late by an hour due to rains and traffic snarls, Kamal
said people would be asking him questions as to when he
would launch his political party.
'But I tell them I am just building the basement. After
all people ask the name of the child when a woman is just
pregnant,’ he said.
"A lot of preparatory work is being done. I am consulting
experts and friends and will make the announcement at the
appropriate time", he added.
Stating that he was not in a position to give details about
his political plans, he said he was looking at larger goals and
a longer time.
"You have to give me time for coming out with a manifesto,
a name. I am working on the structural part of it. I am in no
hurry, there is no need to hurry, I need your support,"
he said.
