Bhopal, Dec 13 (UNI) Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath, hitherto serving as the party’s Madhya Pradesh President, is to assume the mantle of Chief Minister.
Amid much hustle and bustle here late Thursday, a meeting – at the Congress state headquarters – of just-elected party legislators witnessed central observer AK Antony announcing Mr Nath’s name as the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader. Among those present were stalwarts Jyotiraditya Scindia, Digvijaya Singh and Arun Yadav.
A similar meeting on Wednesday witnessed the unanimous passage of a resolution authorising party President Rahul Gandhi to choose the CLP head.
