Kalyan MP urges people to take COVID-19 seriously

Thane, Apr 3 (UNI) Stating that the Kalyan-Dombivili town is in the threshold of stage III of COVID 19, the Kalyan MP Dr Shrikant Shinde on Friday expressed total dissatisfaction over the citizens of the KDMC being indifferent and not not taking things seriously.
After the visit to the town and inspecting the facilities, he was talking to newsmen during which he said that the citizens have even now now not not taken things seriously.
The administration is doing its bit but at the same time the citizens should also strictly follow the instructions given to them from time to time and remain at home only, he said.
The number of positive cases in the KDMC limits went up to 21 on Friday.
When asked about the facilities at the civic hospital. he said that this was not not the time to discuss the same what we are expected to do is fight the Pandemic tooth and nail and defeat.
In a related development, the Thane Municiapl Corporation in an emergency order this evening directed all staff of the corporation including the officials and all the others to be present on their duties from today.
The order by Addl MC Samir Unhale said that the HODS should ensure that all the staff under them are on duty from today itself till further notice.
As regards the staff members residing in different parts the bus service has been provided by MSRTC and TMT, it stated.
The order also said that the day to day reports indicate the spread of the disease and there is a need for additional manpower in the civic corporation. Hence the entire staff of the corporation has been called for emergency duties.
It is our duty to carry out emergency duties the order states and warns that those officials and staff who violate this order would face action by the administration, the order said.
