Kakinada: Police conduct mock drill to deal with mob violence

Kakinada, May 24(UNI) The district police conducted a mob operation mock drill at the police parade ground on Friday to deal with the possible violence keeping in view the scheduled counting of votes and the aftermath on June 4.
District superintendent of police S Sathish Kumar said the mob operation mock drill was conducted to create awareness among the people on the police preparedness to deal with any eventuality, assuring them of their safety and warning that lawlessness would be crushed with an iron hand.
Quick reaction teams of armed reserve police and teams of law and order police in large numbers took part in the operation.
