Kakinada Police condemn reports of possible violence on counting day

Kakinada, May 21 (UNI) District superintendent of police, S Sathish Kumar, on Tusday condemned social media reports of possible violence in Kakinada and Pithapuram Assembly constituencies on day of counting of votes and after declaration of results.
Describing alleged report sent by intelligence to the Election Commission that violent incidents might take place at both places as 'wrong, baseless and far from truth', the SP has requested people not to be carried away by such rumours.
Effective measures are being taken to ensure peace by strictly following instructions of the Central Election Commission and DGP and other higher-ups, he clarified.
