Kaithal ZP chairperson, vice chairman retain their chairs as movers of no-confidence motion fail to turn up in meeting

Kaithal, Dec 9 (UNI) Kaithal Zila Parishad Chairperson and Vice-Chairman succeeded in retaining their chairs as no councillor reached the meeting hall till 1130 hrs against the fixed time of 1100 hrs and the meeting ended without transacting any business.
On November 18, as many as 14 members out of total 21 had submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner through Additional Deputy Commissioner and demanded convening of meeting to consider no-confidence motion against the Chairperson and Vice-Chairman of the Zila Parishad.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Priyanka Soni, Zila Parishad CEO Satbir Kundu, Deputy CEO Jaswinder Singh, Siwan BDPO and other officials reached the Zila Parishad Bhawan to over see the proceedings but the no-confidence move remained a non starter. The administration had made elaborate security arrangements out side the venue of the meeting. The proceedings of the meeting were video recorded.
