Kaavya, Sushant and Renee Singla into title round

Chandigarh, May 16 (UNI) Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is organising CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for Boy’s & Girl’s under-16 & 18 from 13th to 17th May, 2019.
Top seed Kaavya Sawhney of CLTA moved into finals in the Girls under-18 singles. Kaavya blanked Lagan Bidhan of Haryana in straight sets without losing a single game 6-0, 6-0. Kaavya played in a top form with her aggressive ground stroke from the baseline, Kaavya maintained her rhythm of game and dominant from the beginning till end of the match with her powerful ground stroke. Kaavya will face in final with Renne Singla tomorrow. 4th seed Renne Singla upset 2nd seed Vanshika Chaudhary in 3 setter closed contestant match 6-3, 6-7(6), 7-6(3). In the Girls under-16 singles Semifinals 5th seed Anjali Rathi defeated Disha Sehrawat in straight sets. Anjali won the 1st set 7-5, Anjali took the 2nd set without getting much pressure 6-1. In the another Semifinals Renne Singla defeated Sanvi Ahluwalia in a easy match 6-1, 6-1.
Top seed Chirag Duhan and Dhanya Shan enter the final In the Boys under-16 singles. Chirag Duhan defeated Ajay Kundu in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. In the another Semifinals Dhanya Shah won from Jasmeet Duhan in a 3 setter match. Dhanya lost 1st set 4-6, after 1st set down he came back strongly in the 2nd set 6-2. In the deciding set Dhanya played in a top form with high energetic game and closed the set and match easily without conceding a single game 6-0. In the Boys under-18 singles Semifinals Sushant Dabas defeated Karan Singh 6-3, 6-4. Sushan will play against Drona Walia of Uttrakhand in the singles finals of Boys under-18 tomorrow. Unseed Drona Walia upset 4th seed Divesh Gahlot in straight sets 6-1, 7-6(2).
The Boys and Girls under-16 & 18 singles and doubles Finals matches will be played at CLTA Complex, Tennis Stadium, Sector 10, Chandigarh at 08:00 A.M. onwards on Friday, the 17th May, 2019.
