K'taka govt to establish workforce training programmes in collaboration with Pennsylvania: Dy CM

Bengaluru, Aug 14 (UNI)The government of Karnataka in collaboration with the state of Pennsylvania would establish training and skill development programmes in various sectors like education, health, police for development of society, said the Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, who is also the minister for higher education.
He told this after discussions held with Ms.Kanika Choudhary, special envoy, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to explore possible collaborations between the higher education systems of our two states on Friday.
Upgradation of the level of education and development of skills in both the workforce and student community is very much essential in the present situation. Acknowledging the importance of these, the government of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out with new education policy. The collaboration with the state of Pennsylvania would facilitate to take forward the education system of the state of Karnataka in the right path he explained.
