K'taka bypolls: Around 60 pc polling in 15 Assy seats

Bengaluru, Dec 5 (UNI) Out of total 37.38 lakh voters, about 60 per cent exercised their franchise on Thursday for bypolls to 15 Karnataka Legislative Assembly seats, in which the majority of candidates were disqualified MLAs, contesting on the ruling BJP tickets.
Polling was peaceful throughout, except for some minor problems, including EVM malfunction and names of some people missing in the voters list. The process was, by and large, incident-free, according to official sources.
Chikamagaluru registered highest polling of 79.8 per cent polling, while K R Pura constituency recorded the lowest poll percentage of 37.5 per cent.
