JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research ranked 34th in the country

Mysuru, Apr 13 (UNI) JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSSAHER) here, has been ranked 34th among 1,479 Universities and 55th among 4867overall institutions in the Country.
JSS Mahavidyapeeta Executive Secretary C G Betsurmath, in a release here on Saturday, said that the constituent college JSS Medical College secured 17th rank out of 113 medical colleges in the country. JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, secured 8th rank among 301 pharmacy colleges. JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, retained the 10th rank since last four years.
He said JSSAHER had ranked Fourth among the country’s private higher education institutions, under Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA).
ARIIA is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development for systematically rank higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to ‘innovation and entrepreneurship development’ amongst students and faculties, according to JSSAHER.
JSSAHER Vice Chancellor B Suresh said JSSAHER has ranked 101-200 by The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings-2019. This is the only global performance rankings that assess Universities on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. “The ranking is based on our performance on sustainable development,” he added.
He expressed confidence of reaching the top 10 Universities, laying emphasis on research with a focus on innovation that largely benefits society.
