JPCC delegation meets CEO demanding fair polls in Kolibera

Ranchi, Dec 10 (UNI) A delegation of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee led by former Union Minister Subodhkant Sahai today meet Chief Electoral Officer of the state L Khiyangate demanding a free and fair by-elections for the Kolibera seat of the state assembly.
In a letter which was handed over to the election commission, the party said it has received numerous complaints regarding efforts being made to impact the polls. The party claimed that former MLA Enos Ekka who is lodged in jail in connection with murder of a para teacher was calling up people from the inside the jail and asking them to vote for his wife Menan Ekka who is the candidate of the Jharkhand party.
Mr Sahai said, it was a very serious issue and demanded for a high level probe into the incident and action as per law should be taken against such people who are cooperating the jailed leader in this act.
