Journalist's death: Marathi Patrakar Parishad demands suspected accused booked under murder case

Kolhapur, Feb 7 (UNI) Marathi Patrakar Parishad (MPP) and State Action committee (AC) against attack on journalists on Tuesday met Ratnagiri district superintendent of police Dhananjay Kulkarni and demanded a high level inquiry into the death of journalist Shashikant Warise and that the suspected accused be booked in murder case.
S M Deshmukh, chief trustee of MPP and state president of AC, said that in a collission between a car and motorcycle on Monday at Rajapur of Ratnagiri district, Warise was seriously injured. He died on Tuesday morning.
They alleged that the suspected accused had himself knocked out Warise. They demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident and that the suspected accused be booked for murder. UNI SSS SSP
