Jonbeel Mela ends with Gobha King's durbar

Guwahati, Jan 18 (UNI) The Jonbeel Mela, famous for its barter system based dealings, concluded at Morigaon today with a sitting of the Gobha Raja's durbar.
Gobha King Dip Sing Deo and his deputies and ministers assembled at the Mela venue to transact token royal duties, marking the end of the annual three-day Mela.
The Mela witnesses the dealing through barter system between people of the plains and the hills, and has emerged as a major tourist attraction over the years.
