JLN stadium to be demolished, sport city to be built on the venue: Ministry sources

New Delhi, Nov 11(UNI) The capital's iconic Jawaharlal Nehru stadium will be demolished and a world class sport city will be built on its 102 acre area.
Highly placed sources in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports told UNI on Monday that sports centers in Qatar and Australia are being studied as models for the upcoming sports city in Delhi's Lodhi Road area.
"A world class multi sport center will come up at the venue of the JLN stadium, and best centers of Qatar and Australia are being studied for the project" said the source on condition of anonimity.
