Jharkhand's Corona count reaches 16,482, death toll jumps to 151

Ranchi, Aug 7 (UNI) A total of 618 fresh cases of Coronavirus were detected on Friday across the 21 districts of Jharkhand, following which the overall tally of Covid-19 patients has now reached to 16,482 in the state.
During the day, 6 deaths were also reported including 2 from Hazaribagh and 1 death each coming from Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, Palamu and Ramgarh districts after which the overall death count has gone upto 151 in the state. The increase in fatalities has increased the mortality rate to 0.91 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 8,840 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 7,491. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 151.
