New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday, while hearing a plea on an order passed by the Jharkhand High Court against illegal immigration, said that the latter had no jurisdiction in the matter.
The Jharkhand High Court had asked the state government to form fact-finding committee to rectify issues of alleged illegal movement of refugees from Bangladesh.
A Bench comprising Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah asked, " What was the need for the High Court to interfere? You (State) have independent powers under statute.
