Jharkhand Covid tally reaches 96,842 as 490 cases found on Monday

Ranchi, Oct 19 (UNI) The Coronavirus tally reached 96,842 as a total of 490 fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected across all the 24 districts of Jharkhand on Monday.
During the day 3 deaths were reported including 1 each from Bokaro, Dhanbad, and East Singhbhum districts after which the overall death count has increased to 842 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 6,220 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 89,780. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 842.
