Jharkhand BJP to raise issue of VAT reduction on petrol prices with Raghubar

Ranchi Sep 12 (UNI) The Jharkhand unit of the BJP will raise the issue of reduction of VAT on petroleum products in a meeting with Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here today, party president and Chaibasa MP Laxman Giluwa said that he is scheduled to meet the chief minister later in the day today during which he will raise the issue with him. He pointed that even during the polls of 2014 when UPA was in power the petrol prices were more than Rs 80 per litre. However, he said that the central government was working to bring petrol and diesel under GST which will ultimately bring down the prices.
