Jharkhand: 39 fresh cases detected on Monday, overall tally of Covid-19 patients at 2,854

Ranchi, Jul 6 (UNI) On Monday a total of 39 fresh cases of Coronavirus was detected in the state spread across 9 districts following which the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand
reached to 2,854.

As per the data provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 766 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 2,068. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 20.

During the day a maximum number of 12 cases were reported in East Singhbhum district followed by 10 in Ranchi.

On the other hand 4 cases, each found in Hazaribagh and Saraikela and 3 in Chatra district. 2 cases each were also found in Lohardaga and Koderma districts.

On the other hand 1 case, each was also detected in Latehar and Palamu districts.

Out of the total 2,854 cases which have been detected 2,109 have been brought by migrant workers coming from the various Coronavirus hotspots in the country including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and Tamil Nadu.

On Monday 23 people were cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities in the state including 6 from East Singhbhum and 4 from Lohardaga district. 3 patients each in Deoghar and Koderma, 2 in Gumla and 1 each in Giridih, Pakur, Palamu and Hazaribagh also defeated Coronavirus and returned back to their homes.
The recovery rate among Covid-19 patients stands at 72.46 per cent.

The samples are being currently tested in the state at government facilities including MGM Jamshedpur, RIMS Ranchi, PMCH Dhanbad and Itki Arogyashala Ranchi while samples are also being tested in different private labs in the state.

Jharkhand had reported its first Coronavirus case on March 31 as a Malaysian woman had tested positive for Covid-19.

So far in the state 1,62,669 samples have been collected out of which 1,59,176 have been tested and 1,56,322 have turned out to be negative.

The data further pointed out that the number of travellers under surveillance and asymptomatic was at 5,592 while people those who have completed 28 days of compulsory observation stood at 4,303. The number of people in facility quarantine was at 45,643 while those in home quarantine was 2,81,305.

all the four accused, including a government advocate, to surrender forthwith for spitting
on a lady doctor at a Covid centre two weeks ago and told police to conduct Test
