Jharamajari sealed after death of factory owner in PGI Chandigarh

Shimla, Apr 3(UNI) After death of COVID positive female patient in PGI Chandigarh on Friday Jharmajari
area of Baddi and Barotiwala industrial township was sealed to stop the movement of contact of patients to other places.
A order issued by the District Magistrate Solan said that entire Jharmajari Industiral area and Jharmajari
Chowk in hill view society as well as towards hill toop would be completely sealed and on ingress or egress of any person orvehicle expect officers vehicles on Government duty it this area shall be allowed.
He further said that there shall be no relaxation in curfew imposed qua any shops or banks within the entire area
as described above till further orders.
However movement of essential and non essential commodities including products of Pharma Compainies as well as movement of their workers or employees in the permitted vehicles shall be continued however such movement would be allowed between 0600 hrs to 0800 hrs and and 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs daily however no workers would be allowed to walk on foot.
District administration stated in a notification that step has been taken after symptomatic suspect case of COVID-19 in Jharmajari industrial areas has suddenly hiked.
He stated that strict measures are the urgent need of the hours to prevent the spreading of this disease which if not taken immediately could pose grave danger to the lives , health and safety of human beings.
Meanwhile, additional Chief Secretary R D Dhiman further stated that after death of patient from COVID -19 in Chandigarh entire areas have been locked out.
A deceased owner of Steelbird, a helmet firm, of Jharmajari identified Snehlata(68) died at PGI on Thursday,
visited recently to the firm guest house Jharmajari.

He observed that seven very close contract of deceased was shifted to institution quarantine. Process
of taking sample of them was under process which could be completed. 22 secondary contract of the patient was being isolated and identified who would be monitored if they would found symptomatic for the COVID-19 they would also be tested.
He said that after reporting of three cases of COVID-19 from Una district further observed as member belonged to Tablighi Jamaat tested positive entire district was lockdown yesterday as no relaxation was given in the curfew in the district.
He revealed that such preventive measures were essential since the contacts of COVID-19 patients need to be traced out immediately and could not be allowed to spread in other areas which need lockdown of patients where they belonged from.
He said that after arrival of contracted people from Tablighi Jamaat has posed a major challenge to state health authority however they were prepared to fight back to tackle the new cases.
State Government decided in principle today that all people who arrived from this hotspot after Mar 15 would undergo mandatory investigation for COVID-19 irrespective of their medical history of symptomatic or asymptomatic.
''We know it is beyond the COVID-protocol however to face the situation all would under got test for the COVID-19 irrespective of their location in home , institutions or Mosque as process of test is already undergoing for them in the state.
He accepted that hill state which was largely safe from the pandemic witnessed sudden ripples with coming
of new cases related to the hotspots.
State Council of Minister met here under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided to trace out all the people or their contact effectively.
All contacts of COVID-19 patients traced in out of this hot spot would be kept in isolation or lock out to so that
they did not spread the pandemic to others people after coming in the state.
He denied that about 721 people from the state belonged to stat were present at Tablighi Jamaat event.
This list was purely based upon the tower location however it is not true at all that all 721 people belonged to
state Jamaat Mosque.
''We have verified that only 168 people were found in living in Himachal . Majority of them are healthy who had not entered in the Masjid. '' Mr Dhiman said.
He said that state health facility was time tested for the COVID-19 as the Modality and treatment, isolation and handling of staff was now well settled procedure and state is capable to handle the case as it have text book case.
He further said that Nehrchoke Medical College in Mandi district having 400 bed capacity was fully dedicated to COVID-19 patients where as Dr Rajinder Prasad Medical Colege Tanda and Indra Gandhi Medical College are partly functioning as COVID-19 Centre beside this state had created 8,000 bed quarantined facility all over
the state.
Telemedicine hub was created in Shimla for the people which would have three doctors including medicine, pediatrics and psychiatrist. People living in the village could contact with these doctors to get diagnosis till the COVID -19 lockdown prevailed, he added.
