Jewellery worth Rs one crore looted in Bihar's Samastipur

Samastipur, Dec 6 (UNI) Armed criminals looted ornaments worth Rs one crore from a jewellery shop on Mohanpur road under the Mufassil police station area in Samastipur district of Bihar on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) S H Fakhri said here that around 10 criminals barged into a jewellery shop at Nakkusthan on Mohanpur road and looted ornaments worth Rs one crore. All the criminals managed to escape from the spot with looted ornaments, he added.
"Criminals beat up staff of jewelry shop when they resisted their loot bid", DSP said adding that raids were being carried out to nab the criminals and recover the looted ornaments. A case in this connection had been registered at concerned police station, he added. UNI XC KKS SSP
