Jaydev Unadkat emerges top Indian fetching Rs 11.5 Cr.

Bengaluru, Jan 28(UNI) Left arm fast medium bowler Jaydev Unadkat
was today emerged as costliest Indian cricketer when Rajasthan
Royals bought him for a whopping Rs 11.5 crore in the IPL 18 player
auction on the second and final day on Sunday.
He surpassed the Rs 11 crore top price tag fetched by KL Rahul
(KXIP) and Manish Pandey (SRH) yesterday. His price rose nearly 39
times from last year's auction but Unadkat had emerged as one of the
best bowlers in 2017.
It was a fierce bidding for the left arm pacer as Chennai Super
Kings looked to grab him even as his prices rose quickly in the
fierce bidding but Rajasthan won him.
Meanwhile India's under-19 players continue to be in limelight
and Shivam Mavi who showed out in Australia was picked up by
Knight Riders for Rs 3 Crores.
The others who came down the hammer were Aussie fast bowler Nathan
Counlter-Nile (Rs 2.2 Crore to RCB) Young medium pacer Mohammed
Siraj (Rs 2.6 Crore RCB), Karnataka medium pace bowler Vinay Kumar
(Rs One Crore- KKR), Sandeep Sharma (Rs 3 Crore SRH), Washington
Sunder was in demand as RCB got him for Rs 3.2 crore using RTM
against Mumbai Indians and them case seasoned bowler Dhawal Kulkarni
(Rs 75 lakhs, RR).
The marquee players who went unsold yesterday including Chris
Gayle, Martin Guptill, Hashim Amla, Murali Vijay, Joe Root, John
Bairstow, James Faulkner, Tim Southee, McCleneghan and Samuel Badree
would come up for re-auction later in the day.
Karnataka's players continue to be grabbed as off spinner
Krishnappa Gowtham was sold for a whooping 6.2 crore to Rajasthan
Royals. He comes close to his Karnataka Team mates Manish Tiwary and
K L Rahul.
