Jayalalitha was unwell for over a year, why questions being asked about Parrikar's health: Dhavalikar

Panaji, Sep 24 (UNI) Seeking to defend decision of central leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to let Manohar Parrikar to continue as Chief Minister of Goa, State Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Sudin Dhavalikar on Monday said that All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK) leader late J Jayalalithaa continued to be chief minister of Tamil Nadu for an year and a half despite being ill then why questions were being asked about Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Speaking to reporters at Raj Bhavan after attending swearinig-in cerem ony of two ministers in Parrikar's cabinet, Mr Dhavalikar said, "We have elected a chief minister and the CM is doing a good job. Healthwise Jayalalitha was unwell for a year and a half, no one raised an issue. I do not understand why the issue is being raised."
"He will put things in order one by one. This is the first step (induction of two ministers), then he will allocate portfolios and then other things will follow," the minister, who is from Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), an alliance partner in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in the state, said.
