New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered three cases of allegations relating to violence during the Jat agitation for reservation in government jobs in Rohtak district of Haryana. "The cases include allegations like-- attacking, looting of weapons of the police guard, attempting to murder the family members and burning down residence of the Haryana Finance Minister during February, 2016 violence," the CBI said here today. The agency took over the investigation of the cases on the request of Haryana government and further orders from the Centre. "While two of these cases pertain to violence and arson at the residence of the Minister, the third relates to allegations of looting of weapons from a company of BSF and Haryana police, and attempt to murder them by thousands of armed rioters while they were on duty at Delhi bypass, Rohtak," the CBI said. "A large number of persons were allegedly injured, some of them severely, in the violence. It was further alleged that property worth crores of rupees was burnt and weapons of police guards were looted by the agitators, who were demanding reservation in the state. These cases have been transferred to CBI by the Haryana government," the agency said. UNI DS AE SB 1513
