Jaswat Singh was world-class diplomat, statesman: Mah Guv Koshyari

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Maharashstra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of former Union Minister of Defence and Finance Jaswant Singh.
In a condolence message, Governor Koshyari said, "The news of the demise of former Union Minister Shri Jaswant Singh is deeply saddening. Fiercely patriotic, articulate and eloquent, Jaswant Singh made his mark as India’s Defence Minister, Minister of External Affairs and Finance Minister in the government led by late Atal Bihari Vajpayee."
"His learned speeches and interventions within Parliament and outside were awaited and appreciated by one and all. I had the proud privilege of knowing Jaswant Singh ji intimately. In his demise, India has lost a world class diplomat and statesman. May Almighty grant him eternal peace. I convey my heartfelt condolences to Manvendra Singh and other members of the bereaved family," he added.
