Tokyo, Jan 18 (UNI) Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said on Monday Japan values multilateralism and would seek to work with other countries while taking a leadership role in creating a post-coronavirus world order.
Meanwhile, he said, Japan's alliance with the United States remains the foundation not only of its own diplomatic and security policy but also the peace and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
Japan is seen to assume a comprehensive leadership role in Asia, especially as it has multilayered relationships—economic, security, and cultural—with the countries of the region.
