Jammu sizzles at season's max temp 44.8 degree Cel, showers bring respite

Jammu, May 29 (UNI) A brief spell of showers on Wednesday evening brought respite from scorching heat as Jammu sizzled at season’s maximum temperature 44.8 degree Celsius.
Jammu district in the evening had a respite from the heatwave after a short spell of showers forcing people to come out of their homes and enjoy the rains.
Earlier in the day, the maximum temperature settled in Jammu city was 44.8 degrees Celsius, nearly 5.7 notches above the average, said a weatherman.
