Jammu Shoot Out: Top J&K Police Officer bats for maintaining list of gangsters

Jammu, Jan 23 (UNI) In the backdrop of a shootout in which a gangster was killed in broad daylight in the heart of the city, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu Zone, Shiv Kumar Sharma on Thursday directed the officers to maintain a list of gangsters and break their financial network.
Chairing a meeting here regarding gangsters and criminals of Jammu, Kathua Samba Districts, the DIG stressed the need for special efforts to take stern action against gangsters, and anti-social elements.
He also directed the officers to maintain a list so that proper surveillance can be maintained over their activities and they shall be booked under the Public Safety Act.
