Jammu IGP conducts security review to By-poll of panchyat, militancy trend

Jammu, Sept 17 (UNI) Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh on Thursday conducted security review to By-Poll of Panchayats and emerging militancy trend in the Division in a meeting through video conference with concerned officers.
The IGP related to various inputs and trends regarding attempts to revive militancy in Jammu Region and other measures required to be taken by district SSsP especially to strengthen the intelligence network, prevention of infiltration and prevention of smuggling of weapons from across the border.
Thereafter, Range DIsG and District SSsP of Jammu Zone briefed IGP Jammu Zone with regard to overall security scenario, forthcoming Bye Polls of Panchayat Election, COVID -19 situation and other terror related activities and measures initiated by them to deal with these issues.
