Jammu AIIMS to have CoE in Trauma Sciences, Institute of Traumatology

Jammu, June 5 (UNI) Stating that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is a multi-hazard prone region with natural disasters, Executive Director and CEO AIIIMS Jammu, Dr Shakti Gupta on Monday said that the institution has proposed the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Trauma Sciences and an Institute of Traumatology in AIIMS Vijaypur (Samba District)—popularly called as Jammu AIIMS.
“The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is a multi-hazard prone region with natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, landslides, avalanches, high-velocity winds and snowstorms, besides man-made disasters including road accidents, fires, and terrorist attacks,” Dr Shakti Gupta told UNI.

in the women's category and Vikram of Government College Dharamshala in the men's category of the marathon race secured the first position.
The marathon was organized at Dharamshala, by the District Health Department, to reduce the discrimination of TB and HIV diseases and to make the youth aware about this disease.
Ms. Bholi and Ritika both of Government College, Dharamshala was awarded the second and third prize respectively. Nancy and Aditi of Government College, Dharamshala were awarded consolation prizes.

Medical College , Kangra at Tanda in Himachal Pradesh who were found guilty of ragging the two junior medical students by the Anti Ragging Sub Committee and were punished and fined Rs. 50,000 each besides were expelled from their hostels for six months and expelled from their regular classes for three months have vacated their hostel today.
