Jammu Admn declares containment zones; imposes lockdown

Jammu, Jul 13 (UNI) Jammu District Administration on Monday declared containment zones and imposed lockdown in the respective areas in view of spike in number of COVID-19 positive cases.
As per order issued here, District Magistrate Jammu, Sushma Chauhan on Monday, vide powers conferred upon her under section 144 of CrPC read with relevant provisions under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and the Disaster Management Act, 2005, has declared Ward No 6, Canal Head, Simbal Morh Panchayat Makhanpur Gujjaran, R S Pura, Police Station Miran Sahib of district Jammu, as containment/red zones and imposed strict lockdown and tight perimeter control in the said area, except for essential needs.
Accordingly, the SOPs issued by the State Executive Committee shall apply to the above specified areas.
