Jallikattu: Tamil film director injured in police action

Madurai, Jan 14 (UNI) Tamil film director V Gowthaman reportedly suffered minor injury, after the police used mild force to disperse a group of protesters demanding to conduct “Jallikattu” (bull taming sport) at Avaniyapuram in Madurai district, this afternoon.
It all started when film directors Gowthaman and Ameer, besides actor Arya and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja participated in a demonstration to express their solidarity with the people, who were demanding to conduct Jallikattu and ban to animal rights group PETA, near Avaniyapuram bus stand.
