Jalandhar reports 54 new corona cases, tally rises to 829

Jalandhar, July 4 (UNI) With 54 new coronavirus cases reported in Jalandhar on Saturday, the pandemic tally has reached to 829 in the district.
Most of the cases detected today are from the rural areas including Fatehpur village from where maximum number of 14 patients have been detected in a single day. This is for the first time that corona cases have been reported from this village as earlier not even a single case was recorded in the village.
A report received from Baba Farid University of Medical Sciences Faridkot by the civil hospital authorities today said that 54 persons have been tested positive. The tally of confirmed corona positive cases with these new cases has jumped to 829 in the district. This is for the second time that such a high number of corona patients was recorded in the district. Earlier 78 patients were recorded on June 20 followed by 52 on June 22.
