Jalandhar registers new Covid-19 death, tally at 278

Jalandhar, Jun 5 (UNI) With one more Covid-19 fatality, the death toll due to the pandemic reached to nine in the district on Friday. Tally of the confirmed positive cases reached to 279 here so far, recording eight fresh infection cases, officials said.
A 92-year-old woman of Jagatpura colony breathed her last in the civil hospital late Thursday night. She was admitted to the hospital, following heart related problems.
As many as 229 people have been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 32 are under treatment at the civil hospital, according to officials.
