Jalandhar DC orders probe into fake SC certificates

Jalandhar, Dec 10 (UNI) Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Monday ordered a thorough probe into the fake scheduled caste certificates after the administration detected five fake certificates during scrutiny of the applications and appealed to the students and their parents to shun the path of illegal means to procure SC certificates and adopt proper channel for the purpose taking the services of Sewa Kendra.
Mr Sharma said that the students and their parents should not approach any mediator or tout for getting their work done as the district administration and Sewa Kendra was at their disposal for issuing these certificates. He said that in case of any inconvenience the students and their parents must approach him or the other senior officers of administration.
Meanwhile, taking strict cognizance of the matter, the Deputy Commissioner has ordered the inquiry regarding the issuance of fake certificates. He has asked the Sub Divisional Magistrate II to go at the bottom of the case and identify the culprit behind the mess.

Dehradun, Apr 19 (UNI) Uttarakhand has witnessed an average voter turnout of 24.83 per cent for five Lok Sabha seats till 11am on Friday,
Excluding the Nainital constituency, voting percentages in the other four constituencies have surpassed those of the 2019 elections within the same timeframe, which recorded 23.59 per cent turnout by Friday midday.
