Jakarta Asian Games medalists Haryana cops to be awarded with cash prize: DGP

Chandigarh, Apr 19 (UNI) Haryana Director General of Police B S Sandhu announced that the players of Haryana Police, who would bag gold, silver and bronze medals in the upcoming Jakarta Asian Games, would be awarded with cash prize.
The DGP said that Rs 10 lakh would be given for gold medal, Rs 7 lakh for silver medal and Rs 5 lakh for bronze medal. This amount would be given on behalf of the Police department.
Mr Sandhu was speaking after honouring four outstanding sports person of Haryana Police who have brought laurels to the state and nation by winning one gold and three silver medals in recently concluded Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia, at Panchkula near here on Thursday.
