New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday evening reviewed the economic condition of the country in a meeting with senior officials from his Ministry.
According to sources, Finance Secretary S C Garg was also present on the occasion.
Sources said it was also a thanks giving meeting and Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey was also present.
The report of the meeting came at a time when reports suggested that due to his ill health, Mr Jaitley may not join the ministry this time.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tendered resignations of the Union Council of Ministers to President Ram Nath Kovind to pave way for the formation of the new ministry.
President Kovind accepted the resignations and asked the Prime Minister to continue till the new dispensation is sworn-in.
