Jai Ram Thakur on foundation laying spree before LS polls

Shimla, Jan 21(UNI) Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who is on a foundation laying spree in the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, on Monday laid stones for several developmental projects worth Rs 145.43 crore in Dharamshala town under the smart city project.
He opened a GIS web portal to provide online visibility to the citizens on various services available in Dharamshala smart city to improve local governance and delivery of local services developed at a cost of Rs 1.29 crore.
He also launched e-Nagarpalika and smart beacon developed at a cost of Rs 1.17 crore and DSCL website developed at a cost of Rs 35 lakh to create an integrated web application for citizens to use IT primarily to increase information quality, overall efficiency and effectiveness in government process.
