J'khand reports record 79 patients in single-day, tally rises to 922

Ranchi, Jun 5 (UNI) The arrival of migrant workers coupled with increased testing facilities is rapidly increasing the Corona count in the state which is nearing the 1000-mark as on Friday a new record was created in the state with 79 people testing positive for Covid-19 after which the overall tally of patients has swelled to 922.

Covid-19 patients have been now reported from all the 24 districts of the state.
During the day, maximum number of 30 cases were detected from Simdega district with all the people who have turned out to be positive are migrant workers who have returned to the state from various hotspots of the country including Maharashtra and Gujarat. Out of the 30, 15 alone are from Bano block of Simdega.
Simdega was followed by Hazaribagh from where 24 cases were detected during the day. From Ramgarh district another 7 cases were detected.
From Latehar and Garhwa 6 cases were detected. On the other hand, from Ranchi, Dhanbad, Koderma, Palamu, East Singhbhum and Gumla districts 1 patient each was also found positive during the day.
During the day, a total of 20 patients were also cured and discharged from different dedicated Covid-19 facilities in the state. A maximum of 6 people were discharged from Giridih, 5 from Bokaro, 2 each from Koderma and Dumka and 1 each from Ranchi, Dhanbad, Simdega, Gumla and Saraikela districts were also sent back to their homes after successfully defeating Coronavirus.
The samples are being currently tested in the state at four government facilities including MGM Jamshedpur, RIMS Ranchi, PMCH Dhanbad and Itki Arogyashala Ranchi while samples are also being tested in different private labs in the state.

Ranchi, Jul 12 (UNI) Jharkhand reported seven coronavirus-related deaths, highest single-day spike in casualties in the state, taking the state death toll to 31 on Sunday.

During the day, 2 deaths were reported from Ranchi while 1 each came from Koderma, Godda, East Singhbhum, Deoghar and Dhanbad districts.
