J&K: Three Haryana residents killed, two injured in head-on bus-car collision on Jammu outskirts

Jammu, June 14 (UNI) Three Haryana residents were killed and two suffered injuries when a car they were travelling in collided head-on with a bus near Nagrota here on the city outskirts.
Police here on Sunday said that a car (HR29BB-2127), moving towards Jammu, and a bus (JK02AJ9933), on its way towards Udhampur, collided head-on during midnight near Jagti here in the Nagrota area.
Police said that five persons were travelling in the car and sustained critical injuries and were immediately shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for treatment. "Two persons were declared brought dead to the hospital, and one succumbed to injuries during treatment," they added.
The deceased people were identified as Sikander Saifi, Shakti and Mohit Verma, all residents of Ballabgarh, Haryana.
The injured, namely Deepak Verma and Kuldeep Sharma, are undergoing treatment at GMC Jammu.
The bus driver managed to escape from the spot while police have registered a case and started the investigation, they said.
