Srinagar, Dec 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday launched a Valley-wide enforcement drive targeting vehicles plying without mandatory transfer of ownership after sale–purchase.
The drive follows concerns after last month's car bomb blast near Red Fort in Delhi, where serious irregularities in the sale and purchase of the vehicle used for the act came to light.
Police across all major districts —Anantnag, Ganderbal, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Sopore and Awantipora, intensified checking at key junctions, naka points and busy road stretches.
