J&K police constable, civilian rescue man from flash floods in River Tawi

Jammu, Aug 19 (UNI) Putting their lives at risk, a constable of Jammu and Kashmir police along with a civilian on Monday rescued a man from sudden flash flood in River Tawi here.
"We received a call in the morning that a man was trapped in the water in River Tawi after the water level suddenly swelled in the river,” DySP Rahi Singh, Sub Divisional Police Officer, East here said.
He added that one of their selection grade constables namely Majid Ahmad from Bagh-e-Bahu Police station alongwith a civilian Parvesh Kumar, jumped into the water without taking care of their lives and rescued the trapped man.
