J&K Police arrest two OGWs of LeT, arms and ammunition recovered in Kulgam

Srinagar, Dec 5 (UNI) Police have arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of TRF (The Resistance Front) offshoot of banned Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant outfit and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in Jammu Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The two OGWs, identified as Altaf Ahmad Lone a resident of Kachoora Zadoora and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat a resident of Nipora, Mirbazar, were apprehended at Ghulab Bagh Qazigund, police said on Thursday.
“The arrests were made during the investigation of case vide FIR number 262/2024 registered under relevant sections of law at police station Qazigund”, they said.
“During the questioning the accused disclosed possession of arms and ammunition and on their disclosure 2 AK 56 rifles, 4 AK series Magazines and 79 live cartridges of AK series were recovered”, police said.
“The accused were acting on the directions of Pakistani handler Hamza Bhai and were in process of carrying out terror activities in the area”, police added.
Investigation of the case is going on, they said.
